Checked on Desktop 0.1.15CLI 0.1.0Android 0.1.38
A newer version is out (Desktop 0.1.25, CLI 0.5.2, Android 0.1.40): some details may differ.
TALOS is an AI environment where agents do real work on your projects — they write and review code, research, and remember what matters — on the model you choose. It runs where you work.
Three surfaces
Section titled “Three surfaces”- TALOS Desktop — the full workshop on Windows: agents as a graph, context handled for you, memory, deep research and local models. Start with Install TALOS Desktop.
- TALOS CLI — a coding agent in your terminal, installed from npm as
talos-code. Start with Install the CLI. - TALOS for Android — an assistant that runs your phone: say “Hey TALOS” and it acts across it. Published as a testing build. Start with Install TALOS for Android.
The current version of each, and its files, are always on the Download page.
What they share
Section titled “What they share”- Your model. Local models run on your own hardware; cloud models connect with your own key. Models & providers explains the choices on each surface.
- It asks first. Every tool is allowed, asked or denied, and you decide which.
- No account, no telemetry. No TALOS product requires a TALOS account or sends TALOS telemetry. Choosing a cloud provider, searching the web or downloading a model uses the network for that action.
- Open source. TALOS is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only, across the repository.
Which one first?
Section titled “Which one first?”- You want the whole workspace on a Windows computer: TALOS Desktop.
- You work in a terminal: the CLI.
- You want TALOS on your phone, and a testing build is fine: TALOS for Android.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Install the one you chose, from its guide above.
- Pick a model: Models & providers.
- Check what you downloaded: Verify & troubleshoot.
