Work in the interactive screen

Write and send, answer approvals, queue or steer while TALOS works, watch sub-agents, and find your way with the keyboard.

Checked on CLI 0.3.3

A newer version is out (CLI 0.5.2): some details may differ.

talos opens the interactive screen in the current folder. ? on an empty prompt shows the keys; /help lists the commands. Every command is on Slash commands, every key on Key bindings.

  • Enter sends. Shift+Enter adds a line where the terminal reports it; Ctrl+J always does.
  • Tab completes a command, or a path after @.
  • Up and Down walk your previous prompts; Ctrl+R searches them.
  • Ctrl+C or Esc cancels the run, closes a dialog, or clears the draft — Up brings it back.

By default, Enter queues your next message until the turn ends. /busy changes what Enter does: queue, steer the running turn with your message, or interrupt it and send. Alt+S steers at the next safe point; /queue shows the queued messages.

When TALOS asks, press a number: 1 allow once, 2 for this session, 3 always, 4 deny and go on; v opens the full review, where 5 always denies. Esc denies and stops the turn. See Allow, ask or deny a tool.

  • Ctrl+O shows or hides tool details; Ctrl+T shows or hides all reasoning.
  • Alt+T searches the transcript; PageUp and PageDown scroll it.
  • Alt+A shows the sub-agents while they work; Enter opens one agent’s conversation, live and read-only.
  • Ctrl+L, or /redraw, repaints the screen.

Shift+Tab (or Alt+M) cycles manual, accept edits, plan and Full access — Full access asks for confirmation the first time. Alt+P, or /model, picks the model. See Permissions.

Press Ctrl+D, or Ctrl+C twice, on an empty composer — or type /exit.
