A hook runs a command of yours when an event happens in a session. Project hooks run only when trusted. A quarantined hook is denied until you release it — and release does not restore trust.

Operation	What it does
`list`default	Lists the hooks with their event, source and trust.
`trust`	Trusts a hook.
`untrust`	Removes the trust of a hook.
`dry-run`	Runs a hook with a synthetic event, through the same process path a real event takes, and prints what it returned.
`history`	Prints the last runs of a hook.
`quarantine`	Quarantines a hook: it is denied until released.
`release`	Releases a hook from quarantine. It stays untrusted until you trust it again.
`release-quarantine`	Same as `release`.

Without an operation, talos hook runs list.

`list`

Lists the hooks with their event, source and trust.

Trusts a hook.

Arguments

id: The id talos hook list shows.

`untrust`

Removes the trust of a hook.

talos hook untrust <id>

`dry-run`

Runs a hook with a synthetic event, through the same process path a real event takes, and prints what it returned.

talos hook dry-run <id> <event> [action…]

Arguments

id: Hook id.
event: The event type to simulate.
actionoptional: A text describing the action, passed to the hook.

`history`

Prints the last runs of a hook.

talos hook history <id> [limit]

Arguments

id: Hook id.
limitoptional: How many runs, 1 to 50.

`quarantine`

Quarantines a hook: it is denied until released.

talos hook quarantine <id> [reason…]

Arguments

id: Hook id.
reasonoptional: Why, for the record.

`release`

Releases a hook from quarantine. It stays untrusted until you trust it again.

talos hook release <id>

Arguments

id: The id talos hook list shows.
