CLI guides
One task per page — from the first setup to scheduling a task — checked against TALOS CLI 0.3.3.
Checked on CLI 0.3.3
A newer version is out (CLI 0.5.2): some details may differ.
Each guide does one thing, in the order you would do it. To understand how the parts fit together first, start with How the TALOS CLI works.
- Set up a provider and a model Run the guided setup, give TALOS a key or sign in, choose a model, and check that it answers.
- Run a task without the screen Give TALOS one task from the shell or a script, get text or JSON back, and know what it may do on its own.
- Allow, ask or deny a tool Write permission rules for the TALOS CLI, check what a rule would decide before you rely on it, and answer when TALOS asks.
- Undo what a turn changed Restore the files TALOS changed, from checkpoints kept outside your repository, and apply them again if you change your mind.
- Resume, fork and share a session Come back to a session, try another way from a copy, name and find sessions, and export or share one safely.
- Work in the interactive screen Write and send, answer approvals, queue or steer while TALOS works, watch sub-agents, and find your way with the keyboard.
- Adjust the display and notifications Set the width of answers, notifications, the mouse, the theme and what stays on screen when you leave.
- Add MCP servers, hooks and commands Prepare a project, trust it, add an MCP server, a hook, a plugin or a command of your own, and test each before it runs.
- Schedule a task Have a task of the board run by itself at an interval or at a daily time, try it first, and keep it running in the background on Windows.
- Check your setup and report a problem Find what is missing with doctor, read the logs, make a redacted report for a bug, and check for a newer version.
