Review what TALOS remembers
Approve a memory in the chat, add one by hand, give it a kind and a scope, pause it, correct it or delete it.
Checked on Android 0.1.38
A newer version is out (Android 0.1.40): some details may differ.
Memory is what TALOS carries into your next conversations — see Your data on the phone. Nothing is remembered behind your back: every memory is one you wrote, or one you approved.
When TALOS asks to remember
Section titled “When TALOS asks to remember”Tell TALOS to remember something, and it asks first, with a card in the chat showing the title, the content and the kind. Allow it, refuse it, or always allow it. Whether TALOS may write memories at all is Writing memories, in Settings → Privacy and permissions.
A memory the model only suggested waits in Memory as Needs review. Turning it on approves it; a suggested memory with no kind yet asks you to pick one first.
Add one by hand
Section titled “Add one by hand”- Open Memory from the menu and tap New memory.
- Write a title and what TALOS should remember.
- Choose a kind and a scope, and save it.
| Kind | For |
|---|---|
| Preference | How you prefer to work. |
| Project fact | A reference to remember. |
| Procedure | A way of working. |
| Policy note | A boundary to keep in mind. |
| Scope | Where it applies |
|---|---|
| Global | Every conversation. |
| Project | One project. |
| This chat | This conversation only. |
Keep it current
Section titled “Keep it current”Open a memory to see its kind, scope, state and source — content you provided, or content gathered from outside.
- Use in your next conversations — on, TALOS reads it again in every new conversation; off, it is paused until you turn it back on.
- Edit corrects it in place. When TALOS itself corrects a memory, it rewrites it instead of adding a second one that contradicts it.
- Export text copies it to the clipboard.
- Delete removes it from the phone. A backup exported earlier still holds a copy.
Search, filter — all, or needs review — and sort by date, title or kind when the list grows.
Context, not orders
Section titled “Context, not orders”A memory is given to the model as untrusted context, in every case: what it says can never override TALOS’s rules or your permissions.
